Hood Loop

Security for your canoe or kayak. Ensure a safer delivery of your boat with these Hood Loops as you travel down the highway to lakes, rivers, or even your favorite boundary waters entry point. These are recommended for longer trips and winding highways. Installation is easy. On most cars, there is a bolt on each side of the hood that is safe to remove while you place the Hood Loop around it. Tighten the nut back on and installation is complete. When not in use, you can leave Hood Loops tucked inside the hood where they will be ready to use again on your next adventure.

Hood Loop A wonderful product, I am reminded each tome I load my canoe and I don't have to get on the ground to reach a tie down point.

Hood loops provide tie-down security... I am ordering my second pair of hood loops from Piragis' Outfitters, having sold my prior van and forgetting to remove the old loops from under the hood. I've been in and out of the BWCAW for 30 years and have never found a more secure tie-down than the two-point loops keeping the front of my canoe from wrenching from side to side in the wind during transport. They tuck away under the hood of my vehicle when not in use, and in addition to one ratchet strap on each rack tube, keep my canoe in place for the entire trip. No 3-point system works better, and the price is nominal.
