Large Splitting Axe Handle

The handle has an ergonomic design that gives a firm and comfortable grip. The shafts are impregnated with warm linseed oil and beeswax, which increases the quality of the shafts. Features a metal guard to protect the handle. Extra handles for these axes include a guard fastened to the handle. Hafting an axe with a new handle with a metal guard requires a little more effort than a normal wooden handle. More force is needed to press the axe head onto the handle, and it is important to make sure that the guard goes into the axe eye (hole in the axe head) a little ways. If the guard is not pressed into the eye then the handle will sit loose. Partially textured for better grip. Wood: hickory. Dimensions 70 × 2.5 × 4.6 cm
