These are the finest axes available in the world today! Each axe is hand-forged by a professional smith in Sweden. The 110 year old family owned business has only 23 employees and you'll find a smith's initials on the head of each axe. Forged from a special Swedish axe steel, the blades are tempered and annealed to the correct toughness. The handles are made of first quality American hickory, and the axe heads are oiled and protected by a grain-leather sheath. Each axe comes with a book that describes maintenance and use in detail, along with photos of the craftsman at work.

Designed for splitting all types of firewood. It is forged and ground to a concave, thin blade at the bit. Cuts quickly and easily into the wood and then effectively splits it as the broader section pushes apart the wood. The handle has a protective steel collar guard at the head and circular grooves towards the end for an extra firm grip.
