Best Canoe I've ever Paddled My first trip to the BWCA was in 1979 using a standard weight aluminum canoe. I switched to a Mad River Royalex canoe 20 years later. I needed a larger/lighter boat. Rented a Souris River Quetico 18 and a Wenonah Champlain and the Bell Northwoods. on three different trips. They we all high quaility canoes but for me the Bell was hands down the best performer with gear, in wind, rough water. I absolutely love everything about this boat.
